According to the forecast of the Department of Hydrometeorology ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), from May 22 to 25, the Northern region, including Tuyen Quang province, is likely to experience widespread heavy rain with common rainfall from 100-250mm, in some places over 350mm.
Faced with unusual and complicated weather developments, to proactively prevent, combat and deploy remedial solutions, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province directed the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Provincial Military Command, and Provincial Police:
Directing careful inspection of residential areas, promptly detecting areas at risk of insecurity, especially areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, flash floods, and deep flooding;
Proactively arrange forces and means, resolutely evacuate people from dangerous areas, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, to ensure safety, life and property of people;
Organize flood and storm recovery work according to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 2138/UBND-KT dated May 10, 2025 on overcoming damage caused by heavy rain, storms, and whirlwinds in the province.
Closely monitor the development of natural disasters on media and forecast bulletins; deploy timely and effective response work according to the "Four on-the-spot" motto; strengthen propaganda work, ensure that all people have information about the risks of floods, landslides, and flash floods; organize traffic control and guidance during floods, especially when traveling through culverts, areas at risk of landslides, and areas with deep water.
Proactively mobilize forces and means to carry out disaster recovery work; arrange food and necessities in vulnerable areas at risk of isolation due to heavy rain, floods, landslides, and inundation to promptly carry out rescue work, rescue, and support people when situations arise. Maintain strict on-call regime, proactively review plans and strategies for responding to natural disasters and search and rescue, and avoid being passive or surprised, especially with the risk of floods, landslides, flash floods, and landslides.
The Chairman of the District and City People's Committee shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Provincial Military Command, and the Provincial Police to urgently review residential areas and promptly detect areas at high risk of landslides, flash floods, flash floods, and deep flooding. Proactively arrange forces and means to be ready to evacuate people from dangerous areas, ensuring absolute safety for people's lives and property.
During the days from May 16-19, in Tuyen Quang province, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain such as: in Na Hang town (Na Hang district) 312mm; Thanh Tuong commune (Na Hang district) 170mm; Da Vi commune (Na Hang district) 109mm; Phuc Son commune (Lam Binh district) 175mm..., causing damage to housing and agricultural production of people in the province.
