(Dan Tri) - American technology billionaire Elon Musk accused the media of "encouraging" assassination attempts against him and former President Donald Trump.

"With their relentless attacks, the mainstream media is actively encouraging the assassination of Trump and now me," Musk wrote in a post on the social media platform X on October 21. The post was accompanied by a photo of an article from German news agency Der Spiegel describing the Tesla and SpaceX CEO as "public enemy number two," along with a photo combining Musk's and Trump's faces. The billionaire also attached a video showing his similar comments at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend. "Either way, the risk of me being assassinated has increased significantly," he said. Elon Musk began supporting former President Trump shortly after the failed assassination attempt on the Republican candidate in July. Just two months later, Trump suffered a second assassination attempt, at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15. Musk has been actively supporting the former President's campaign in recent months through the X foundation. The billionaire has also contributed $75 million to the Trump campaign through the creation of America PAC. America PAC has played a key role in the former President's strategy in swing states, especially Pennsylvania. However, there has been some skepticism after the billionaire announced that he planned to give $1 million to Pennsylvania voters who sign an American PAC petition by Election Day. The petition supports free speech and the right to bear arms. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro described Musk's plan as "deeply troubling."
