During her working visit to coincide with President Luong Cuong's attendance at the United Nations General Assembly session, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao – Chairwoman of Vietjet and a Vietnamese female billionaire – visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the world's largest and oldest financial center.

NYSE Chair Lynn Martin (in black dress) welcomes Vietjet Chair Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao on her visit to the NYSE.
The visit took place shortly after a historic event in Seattle, where Vietjet received its first Boeing 737 as part of a $32 billion contract for 200 aircraft – the largest aviation order between Vietnam and the United States.
In the warm welcome from Ms. Lynn Martin – Chairwoman of the NYSE, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared insights into the strong development of Vietnam's capital market over the past 30 years, with listed companies on the HOSE, including Vietjet and HDBank . She expressed her aspiration to bring Vietnamese businesses to the global stage, to have a presence on the world's largest stock exchange in New York, to expand international capital raising channels, and to affirm Vietnam's position on the global financial map.

Currently, the NYSE manages approximately 2,400 listed companies with a total market capitalization of nearly $29 trillion. Lynn Martin – the second female chair in the NYSE's more than 300-year history – shared insights into the development of the New York Stock Exchange over the past 300 years and affirmed her readiness to support, share experiences, and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses, including Vietjet and HDBank, as they seek opportunities in the New York capital market.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao emphasized: "We will soon be flying to the United States and are very excited to explore opportunities to raise capital in the New York capital market – the world's largest stock exchange. This is not only the aspiration of Vietjet and HDBank, but also the dream of many Vietnamese businesses wishing to integrate globally."

Currently, both Vietjet and HDBank are listed in the VN30 index, providing sustainable value for domestic and foreign investors. With a global vision and sustainable development strategy, learning from and subsequently raising capital on the NYSE – a symbol of global financial power – is a significant milestone in the journey of affirming the position of Vietnamese businesses on the international stage.

During the visit, the Chairman of Vietjet also attended the bell-ringing ceremony marking the end of the trading session at 4:00 PM. At the close of trading, the US stock market surged 48 points, adding another significant milestone to a remarkable day.
The visit to the NYSE not only opens up new opportunities for Vietjet, HDBank, and other Vietnamese businesses, but also spreads the image of a dynamic, integrated Vietnam with a strong aspiration to rise in the era of globalization.
