In Group A, host U19 Vietnam will open with a match against U19 Myanmar at 6:30 p.m. on June 9 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
In preparation for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship, coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team have had more than 3 weeks of training at Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC), with many tactical training sessions and 2 quality friendly matches. The Vietnam U19 women's team won the Au Lac Club men's team 6-2 and defeated the Ho Chi Minh City U19 women's team 1-0. Through these 2 training matches, the physical strength and form of the Vietnam U19 women's team are quite good.
Vietnam U19 is ready for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship
Vietnam U19 women's coach Okiyama Masahiko said: "We set three goals for the tournament. First, prepare for the qualifying round of the Asian U20 Women's Championship in August. In this tournament, the Vietnam U19 women's team has continuously participated in the finals (2014, 2022, 2023) but always finished second to Thailand U19 and Australia U19. The remaining match of Group A between U19 Laos and U19 Timor Leste will take place at 3pm on the same day. Group B of the tournament includes U19 women from Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia.
