“Eye candy” with the Southern fruit festival taking place in Ho Chi Minh City

(NLDO) – Tourists enjoy the artworks created from various fruits, at the Southern Fruit Festival 2025.

On June 8, the Award Ceremony of the 2025 Fruit Sculpture Art Contest was held at Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area (HCMC).

The fruit sculpture art contest is organized by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Company in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Culture and Sports , the Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations. This is one of the main activities of the Southern Fruit Festival 2025, aiming to contribute to preserving, developing and honoring the traditional arts of the people of the Southern land.

According to the reporter, the contest attracted the attention of domestic and foreign tourists, when they were amazed to see the works of art created from all kinds of fruits. Tourists could not help but admire and enjoy the works of art created from fruits by the skillful hands of artisans.

Under the hands of artisans, fruits are shaped into unique artistic shapes, pleasing to the eye.

There are 24 works by artisans from An Giang , Tien Giang, Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City participating in the contest. The excellent works are shaped from fruits with many names such as: "Ho Chi Minh City - Driving force of innovation, global destination", "Following Uncle Ho's footsteps - Firm steps towards the future", "50 years of liberation - The country is united", "Suoi Tien - 30 years of integration and development"...

Each work is a story, conveyed by the artist with his soul, sweat, and the companionship of family and friends. The hands of the artisans have turned fruit into art…

Most of the fruit sculptures were chosen by the artists to display and introduce Uncle Ho in their competition. Hundreds of fruits and agricultural products were elaborately attached to the works, contributing to promoting the richness and diversity of Vietnamese agricultural products.

Domestic and foreign tourists enjoy admiring works of art.

Hundreds of types of fruits and agricultural products typical of the country, through the skillful hands of artisans, have created unique works of art.

Colorful fruit works are made by the skillful minds and hands of artisans, bringing visitors an impressive summer experience.

From pure Vietnamese fruits, under the skillful hands and creative minds of artisans, the entries bring a satisfying, colorful and meaningful visual experience.

A representative of Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Company said that they are coordinating with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City to make efforts to turn the art of fruit sculpture into a national intangible cultural heritage.

From June 1 to June 8, the 2025 Southern Fruit Festival consumed nearly 100 tons of fruit; attracting over 100,000 visitors. The festival continues until the end of summer with many special activities awaiting visitors.
