Vietnam's U20 women's team won first place in Group F of the first qualifying round and will face Australia, Iran and Lebanon in the second qualifying round of the U20 Women's Asian Cup.

On June 2, the pre-tournament press conference took place with the participation of 4 teams.

Speaking at a press conference, head coach of the Vietnam U20 women's team Akira Ijiri said: "We have completed 100% of the preparation process for this qualifying round. The Vietnam U20 women's team has no injured players, which is important at this time.

We have learned about the Iranian U20 women's team and know that this is a team that is very strong in terms of individual skills and possesses a good physical foundation and tactical thinking. We prepare carefully for each match and cannot say much about the final match against the Australian U20 team at this time."

Meanwhile, the captain of the Vietnam U20 women's team, defender Le Thi Bao Tram, said: "The Iran U20 women's team in the second qualifying round is a tough opponent. My team and I will try to win 3 points on the opening day. Competing against the top teams in the continent is a good opportunity for me to demonstrate my ability."

With the Iran U20 team, coach Morgan Jahan-nejati said he has prepared everything to face the Vietnam U20 team.

Iran U20 women's team captain Mohadesheh Zolfi said the team has not fully adapted to training in Vietnam: "The match against Vietnam U20 women is a difficult one, but I hope to have a good result. There are differences in the second qualifying round, training in Vietnam and Iran is also different. We are still trying to control and adapt to this. We also have plans to overcome the difficulties."

The opening match of U20 Vietnam against U20 Iran will take place at 7pm on June 3. The remaining two matches with U20 Lebanon and U20 Australia will take place at the same time on June 5 and 7 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho province.
