Can Tho City People's Committee and Nam Can Tho University signed a cooperation agreement

Can Tho City People's Committee and Nam Can Tho University have just signed a development cooperation agreement, marking the cooperation of both sides in improving the quality of human resources, developing science and technology , improving health care to better serve the needs of Can Tho City people in particular and the Mekong Delta in general.

Accordingly, the cooperation focuses on four key areas: training; science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; medical examination and treatment and preventive medicine ; consulting and industry management. Accordingly, Nam Can Tho University will, together with the Department of Health and the Can Tho health sector, organize and manage continuing education courses for medical staff in the area; coordinate the implementation of charitable medical examination and treatment activities, public health care, social activities, volunteering, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, said that according to the resolutions of the Central Committee, Can Tho City identifies education and training as one of the key and fundamental fields that plays an important role in contributing to the city's development. With Nam Can Tho University, after 12 years of establishment and development, the school has affirmed its position in the West. Therefore, cooperation will create conditions for both sides to promote their potential and advantages to build the city's education career to become more and more modern, meeting the increasingly high demands of society.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, the memorandum of understanding not only demonstrates the city government’s interest in education and training, but also creates conditions for the university to contribute more to the socio-economic development of Can Tho. The Rector of Nam Can Tho University believes that with the close guidance of the city’s leaders, along with the determination and consensus of both sides, the memorandum of understanding will quickly be materialized through practical, effective and sustainable programs and activities.
