Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province grasps the implementation situation of the expressway project through Dong Xoai

BPO - On the morning of April 26, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Xoai province Ha Anh Dung had a working session with the People's Committee of Dong Xoai city to grasp information on the implementation of the investment project to build the North-South expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc), the section passing through Dong Xoai city.

The project is 18.667 km long (167.03 ha), 901 plots of land are affected by the project, of which the most is Tien Hung commune with 794 plots.

Vice Chairman of Dong Xoai City People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thai briefly reported on the progress of the implementation of the expressway project through the city.

To date, the City Land Fund Development Center has conducted a preliminary inventory of 690 plots, equivalent to a length of 18.31km (reaching 90.8%). Dong Xoai City People's Committee and 3 communes and wards of Tan Xuan, Tien Hung and Tan Thanh have also collected public opinions on the location of the project's resettlement area. Through synthesizing opinions, the approved resettlement location has been basically agreed upon by the people.

Members of the working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and leaders of the People's Committee and specialized units of Dong Xoai city discussed the project.

At the meeting, the working group grasped information about the progress of the project implementation of Dong Xoai city as well as exchanged with departments, branches and Dong Xoai city on some issues that are still stuck and worrying of households. In particular, the main problems are about the policy of site clearance, compensation, resettlement support for the project and the thoughts and aspirations of households with land and houses in the project.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ha Anh Dung acknowledged the efforts and proactiveness of Dong Xoai city in the initial preparation steps for the project, especially in grasping the aspirations of the people regarding the resettlement location for appropriate adjustments. At the same time, he requested the City Front and the political system to get involved, be close to the people, and promptly grasp the aspirations of households in the project. Dong Xoai City People's Committee needs to coordinate with departments and branches to remove current difficulties and obstacles; in which, focusing on transparency of information and not omitting any implementation process.
