Artists need to conquer new heights in artistic creation.

(Fatherland) - On the afternoon of December 30, in Hanoi , General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting with representatives of artists nationwide.

Also attending were leaders and former leaders of central ministries and branches, and especially 200 artists and representatives.

The meeting demonstrated the attention of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, the leaders of the Party, the State, the Central departments, ministries, branches and organizations for the artists, aiming to encourage and motivate the artists, strongly promote the aspiration to contribute, the spirit of solidarity and creativity, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; towards the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The delegates expressed their joy, honor and trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State, with the wish that our country will develop more and more; care for and create favorable conditions for the artists to continuously grow, contribute more, and meet the requirements of national development in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Speaking at the Conference, the General Secretary emphasized that culture is a special product of the people and the nation. Since the establishment of the Party and the government, our Party and State have always paid special attention to the artists and writers, issued many resolutions, mechanisms and policies, and created favorable conditions and space for the development of literature and art.

The General Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and People believe that by promoting the glorious tradition, the country's artists will certainly achieve new successes and conquer new heights in artistic creation.

The team of artists is also increasingly mature and growing, making many especially important contributions to the Party's revolutionary cause and the revival of the nation.

"We are moved and proud of the works that crystallize the talent, enthusiasm, responsibility, devotion and commitment of generations of artists and writers; works that encourage and motivate the entire people and army, marking the unforgettable years of the country, strongly demonstrating the stature of the descendants of Lac Hong, nurturing national pride, pride in the Party and the glorious Fatherland; works that promote and glorify new factors, examples of selfless labor, production and fighting," General Secretary To Lam emphasized.

Besides the achievements, General Secretary To Lam pointed out the shortcomings and limitations of literature and art in recent times. After the period of resistance war and national construction, literary and artistic activities in the country's renovation period have somewhat stagnated, lacking enthusiasm and works of high artistic generalization.

The General Secretary requested to strongly increase the contribution and dedication of artists in implementing the strategic goals of 100 years under the Party's leadership and 100 years of the country's founding.

The team of artists and writers needs to strive to create new collections, lifetime works, useful, vividly reflecting the reality of the new revolutionary period; illuminating life, having the power to move emotions, calling on the entire people and army to implement the Party's policies; arousing and gathering the people's hearts, multiplying the people's strength, together with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, creating an invincible strength to bring the Vietnamese revolutionary cause to reach new heights; actively contributing to building human civilization.

"Artists must constantly keep abreast of the people's life and breath, blend in with the country, dare to address thorny, complex, and sensitive issues of the community, go to remote, disadvantaged, and ethnic minority areas, border and island areas, discover and reflect new factors, good practices, and new issues arising in life, and actively and responsibly participate in social tasks," General Secretary To Lam requested.
