Plain gold rings are about to equal the price of SJC gold bars

At 8:45 a.m. on July 1, SJC gold bars were listed by SJC Company at VND74.98 million/tael for purchase and VND76.98 million/tael for sale - stable throughout the past month. This is also the selling price of gold bars by commercial banks including Vietcombank, VietinBank, BIDV and Agribank .

The price of plain gold rings and 24K jewelry gold of all kinds listed by SJC Company is 73.95 million VND/tael for buying and 75.55 million VND/tael for selling, down 50,000 VND compared to yesterday.

PNJ Company sells at 75.6 million VND while Bao Tin Minh Chau Company sells at 75.98 million VND/tael.

Gold price today increased slightly in the international market

The price of gold rings has narrowed the gap with SJC gold bars to only about 1 million VND/tael. This is a record low difference in recent times. Previously, there was a time when the price of SJC gold bars was also 24K gold but the price of gold rings was more than ten million VND/tael higher.

In the international market, the price of gold today increased slightly to 2,327 USD/ounce. According to analysts, the world gold price this week cannot break out as the market continues to wait for macroeconomic information from the US, the USD price remains high at over 105.58 points.

Investors are waiting for more clarity on when the US Federal Reserve will officially cut interest rates for the first time. If the US cuts interest rates, gold prices will benefit.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 71.5 million VND/tael.

In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate listed by the State Bank is 24,252 VND/USD, down 8 VND compared to yesterday. The USD price at commercial banks is traded around 25,244 VND/USD for buying and 25,464 VND/USD for selling, down 9 VND compared to the end of last week.

The free USD price this morning fell below the 26,000 VND mark. Some foreign exchange points quoted the USD buying price at 25,918 VND and selling price at 25,998 VND/USD, a sharp decrease of about 30 USD compared to the previous day.
