The seating chart and ticket prices for Blackpink’s concert in Hanoi on July 29-30 are a hot topic on social media. Most Vietnamese fans believe that the ticket prices for this event are too expensive and beyond their budget.

Ticket price exceeds budget, benefits not attractive enough

On July 4, the official ticket prices announced by the organizers ranged from 1.2 to 9.8 million VND, with many areas far from the stage also costing up to 5.8 to 7.8 million VND. Meanwhile, the initial rumored ticket prices were much more affordable - around 3 million VND for a pretty nice seat. According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, the price of VIP tickets (the most premium tickets) at the Born Pink show in Thailand last January was over 6.5 million VND. In Singapore, the price of this VIP area also stopped at nearly 7 million VND. For the Encore version show (more special than usual) in Thailand, VIP tickets cost up to 10 million VND.

The VIP ticket benefits at all previous Blackpink stops and those announced in Hanoi include a soundcheck, seating before other ticket classes, and exclusive hard cards and lanyards. However, despite being a few million VND more expensive, VIP ticket buyers at the Hanoi show did not have the opportunity to watch the soundcheck - where they could interact closely with their idols and see the simple images of the four girls before the grand performance. In return, the VIP ticket benefits this time include a set of 8 exclusive cards (picture cards) for Hanoi, along with other special gifts.

Besides the opinion that this benefit is not worth the money spent, many Blackpink fans feel that the set of 8 cards mentioned above is also very interesting and valuable. Because inherently, special, limited edition cards always attract attention, even increasing in value significantly over time. It is not uncommon for a special card of famous idols to be "inflated" in price up to tens of millions of VND. "I once went to see a Blackpink concert abroad. After looking at the map and ticket prices in Hanoi, I planned to buy tickets for only 1.2-1.8 million VND to enjoy the atmosphere. I think many Blinks (name of the Blackpink fan community) also have the same choice as me", Phuong Nhi (21 years old, Hanoi) shared with Dan Tri reporter.

In addition to the seating issue, fans are also concerned about the information that the organizers only requested permission for Blackpink to perform 13 songs. This number is much more modest than in previous performances. While at other stops, the Korean girl group performed about 23 songs and had individual performances by each member, the song list at the show in Hanoi caused quite a bit of confusion. To reassure fans, on July 4, the organizers had to speak up to clarify that Blackpink would perform more than 13 songs.

Fans "turn around" before ticket prices?

It is undeniable that the high price makes many people hesitate to attend the concert. Unlike the exciting atmosphere when Blackpink announced their performance in Hanoi, some people even gave up the idea of ​​going to see their idols. Tien Huy (22 years old, Hanoi) expressed: "I decided not to go see Blackpink anymore because the price is high but the view is limited. The seats are almost like VIP areas, I don't have enough money". "I think this price is too high compared to the spending level of Vietnamese people for a music show. Moreover, My Dinh Stadium is very large, the stage is too small, affecting the view but the price is high", a netizen commented.

Many netizens posted about the actual view of the ticket classes and commented that the current ticket prices offered by the organizers are too high. Even if they buy tickets priced at 3.8 million VND or 5.8 million VND, fans still cannot see the singers performing clearly, and it is also difficult to see the screen. Some locations with unreasonable ticket prices include the high-floor seating areas and the standing area at the end of the stadium, which are very far from the stage but still cost up to 5.8 million VND to 7.8 million VND. However, the fan community of BlackPink in Vietnam has responded more positively. Currently, major pages are busy preparing for projects to welcome Blackpink to Vietnam. They plan to run advertising signs and make buses to promote the idols' image. The donation fund of a major page has reached 100 million VND.

Regarding the information about the show, BlackPink Vietnam FC - a page for Blackpink fans, with more than 548,000 followers - shared publicly: "The company has never revealed the list of Blackpink's concert performances. Blackpink from the first IN YOUR AREA tours, when the group had only more than 10 songs, still tried to add cover performances (singing or dancing to other artists' products) to the performance list so that the concert had nearly 20 songs". "We always believe that when YG (Blackpink's management company) decided to choose Vietnam as a destination for the tour, Vietnamese fans will not be disadvantaged", the page added.
