Ha Long was chosen as one of the group's three stops, including Hanoi and Ninh Binh.
According to the plan, this group of tourists will be divided into several groups, arriving in Ha Long from August 29 to September 3, of which the largest group arriving in Ha Long will be nearly 1,400 guests on August 29, 2024.
However, the group will not stay overnight in Ha Long, but will return to Hanoi. It is known that because the group is too large, and from many countries flying to Hanoi, they have been arranged in Hanoi for the convenience of picking up from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. In particular, according to a representative of a unit coordinating to welcome this group of guests, with such a large number, staying in one place each day will take a lot of time to check in and check out of the hotel of the tourists, even though the tourists also want to experience sleeping in Ha Long.
In Ha Long, the group mainly visited Ha Long Bay and had lunch on cruise ships. All food will be processed and cooked at the restaurant on shore and transported to the cruise ships to serve guests. To serve this group of guests, the relevant units have arranged more than 100 cruise ships at Ha Long International Passenger Port, Bai Chay Ward.

The departments, branches, sectors and relevant units of Quang Ninh province have agreed on a plan to welcome, arrange vehicles, divide traffic, ensure security, order and traffic safety, especially ensure service quality, create convenience, good impression, and meet the specific requirements of the delegation.
The Indian market has been identified by Quang Ninh province as one of the potential international tourist markets, and has focused on promoting and exploiting it since the pandemic. Ha Long Bay and other destinations in Quang Ninh are also among the tourist destinations that have attracted the attention of this market. This group of tourists belongs to the high-spending segment and with a large number of visitors, it is expected to create a media effect, widely promoting the image of Ha Long and Quang Ninh tourism, attractive and friendly, as a premise for large groups of tourists with high spending levels from India to Quang Ninh in the near future.
Previously, Ha Long Bay and several other destinations in Quang Ninh also welcomed many Indian delegations, including two weddings of wealthy Indians held in Ha Long.
