After an impressive competition day on September 28, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation still has not won any more medals today (September 29).

Vietnam has now dropped one place to 15th in the 19th ASIAD medal rankings with 1 gold, 2 silver and 11 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, up to now, the Thai Sports delegation has risen to 5th place on the rankings with 8 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 9 bronze medals, 10 places higher than Vietnam.

China still holds the top spot with 98 gold medals. Following closely behind are South Korea (24 gold medals), Japan (21 gold medals), and India (8 gold medals).

On September 28, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won a gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol event. This is also the only gold medal of Vietnam up to now.

On September 29, Vietnamese athletes continued to compete in shooting, boxing, table tennis, swimming, chess, fencing, athletics, esports, golf and gymnastics.

In shooting, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh, although reaching the final of the women's 10m individual air pistol event, could not compete for a medal.

Meanwhile, Vietnam also missed out on the bronze medal when it lost 1-2 to China in the League of Legends esports event.
