VNU signs framework cooperation agreement with KU Leuven University
On this occasion, VNU, in collaboration with Belgian partners, organized a series of seminars and talks to promote academic and research cooperation between the two countries.
Notable events included a workshop on 30 years of joint research cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium, a high-level discussion on enhancing educational cooperation, and a workshop on digital medicine in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Here, the Belgian side shared information on research funding sources and cooperation opportunities, while the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training presented the Education Strategy for the 2019-2030 period and the potential for cooperation in training and student exchange.
Belgium is one of Vietnam’s important partners ineducation and research. Thousands of Vietnamese students have received scholarships to study at prestigious Belgian universities, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources. Joint research cooperation programs have also brought about many practical results in areas such as climate change, water resources management, sustainable urban development and public health.
Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi Le Quan expressed that the series of academic activities and cooperation connections coordinated by Vietnam National University, Hanoi with Belgian partners is an important milestone.
VNU President Le Quan emphasized that this event marked an important milestone in the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belgium, and opened up new prospects for cooperation. During the visit of the Belgian delegation, VNU and its partners signed six cooperation agreements, focusing on student exchange, scientific research and technology application in education.
In the coming time, the two sides will continue to implement joint research projects, promote academic exchanges and cooperation in priority areas such as digital transformation, renewable energy and climate change adaptation. This event affirms the strong commitment of both countries to promoting education and scientific research for sustainable development.
