With elaborate staging and skillful performance techniques, the acrobatic act “LangBiang Love Story” by the Vietnam Circus Federation won the Silver Prize at the International Circus Festival in Russia.

On September 16, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, said that the male-female tightrope act "LangBiang Love Story" by the Vietnam Circus Federation won the Silver Prize and two subsidiary prizes at the 3rd "Borderless" International Circus Festival held from September 12-16 at the St. Petersburg City Circus, Russian Federation.
The festival has the participation of over 200 artists from 15 countries around the world such as: Ethiopia, Germany, Italy, France, China, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam...
According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, at this Festival, actors Duc Thinh and Thu Trang from the Vietnam Circus Federation participated in the performance of the acrobatic act "LangBiang Love Story" .
Vietnam's performance was warmly received by the Russian audience with endless applause.
Foreign audiences were especially interested in the story that the performance presented, based on the legend of a beautiful but tragic love story of a young couple on LangBiang Mountain - the name of a famous mountain in the Central Highlands.
The performance was staged with contemporary music with Central Highlands influences, including dialogue between a man and a woman...
At the climax of the act, the male actor used his hair to hang the weight of his body under the endurance of the female actor hanging on one leg on the wire and spinning at high speed in the air without using a safety wire. This is a special thing about the act because up to now, no double wire act has done it.
People's Artist Tong Toan Thang said that this festival has many entries in the high-altitude double rope swing genre and most of them are similar in the form of performing love between men and women.
However, the show "LangBiang Love Story" by the Vietnam Circus Federation was elaborately staged, along with skillful performance techniques, conquering colleagues and international audiences.
The performance was awarded the Silver Prize by the Organizing Committee in the official award system, and also received two additional awards from Mexico and Russia./.
