Vietnam Airlines "joins hands" with Shinhan Card to issue co-branded cards

Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card have signed a cooperation agreement to develop co-branded card products and carry out joint marketing initiatives. Under the agreement, the two parties plan to launch the Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles - Shinhan Card co-branded credit card product in the Korean market. Lotusmiles is Vietnam Airlines ' frequent flyer program, offering members many privileges on every flight or when using products and services of partners.

Members can enjoy premium service benefits such as priority booking, check-in, SkyPriority baggage tagging, additional baggage allowance, priority security lanes, immigration, lounge access, and priority boarding.

Members can also accumulate miles on Vietnam Airlines and its airline partners, or from non-airline partner services such as banking, shopping, insurance, hotels and telecommunications. Accumulated miles can be redeemed for many valuable rewards such as award tickets, seat upgrades, excess baggage, gifts from LotusMall and many other services. Vietnam Airlines' co-branded card will include many benefits for Lotusmiles members and mileage accumulation services based on card usage. Therefore, the "2 in 1" card opens up many opportunities for users, not only accessing convenient payment services of Shinhan Bank, but also experiencing privileges of Vietnam Airlines' aviation services. In addition, Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card will cooperate closely to develop marketing strategies and diverse incentives to increase value for customers of both parties. Mr. Nguyen Sy Thanh, Director of Golden Lotus Center, said that the agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card is built on a common mission and vision of focusing on customers. "By combining strengths in many fields, maximizing the effectiveness of cooperation between two major brands will create a foundation for the two businesses to work together sustainably and long-term. Thereby, improving efficiency and competitiveness, more importantly, giving our consumers superior experiences," said Mr. Thanh. Mr. Kim Tae Kyung, Sales Director of Shinhan Card, hopes that through the cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines, it will bring more valuable benefits to customers in Korea when they travel and work in Vietnam , as well as other destinations, in order to bring cardholders different service experiences.
