Vietnam Airlines transports free vaccines for the National Expanded Immunization Program

It is expected that about 7.4 million doses of various vaccines will be transported free of charge by Vietnam Airlines , with a volume of approximately 20 tons. The first flights will depart from January 2024.

Medical support activities are part of the "Journey of Love" campaign implemented by Vietnam Airlines for many years. The airline has actively cooperated with domestic and foreign medical agencies to carry out many activities such as: Transporting organs to bring life to patients, supporting surgeries to bring smiles to children with unfortunate disabilities; connecting training to improve professional skills for Vietnamese doctors and medical staff, etc.

Previously, during the period affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam Airlines was the pioneer airline participating in transporting vaccines to prevent the pandemic both domestically and internationally. At the same time, it transported dozens of tons of medical supplies and more than 15,000 doctors, nurses, and logistics staff to participate in the fight against the pandemic during this period.
