With 2.6 million visitors each year, Ha Long Bay (Vietnam) ranks 4th in the 10 most visited natural wonders in the world .
The list of the 10 most visited natural wonders in the world was selected and announced by the famous American travel website - The Travel earlier this week. The selection was based on the assessment of the 7 Wonders of Nature Organization, Google and the latest surveys collected from Instagram, TikTok and TripAdvisor according to the number of annual visitors.

According to the travel website The Travel, Vietnam is a country that is especially blessed with many beautiful natural landscapes. Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, has emerald green waters and nearly 2,000 small limestone islands, attracting 2.6 million visitors each year. This UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vietnam has a special appeal to those who love sports such as hiking, swimming, diving, and climbing.
For a long time, Ha Long Bay has always been a must-visit destination for international tourists when coming to Vietnam. This UNESCO heritage has always received high praise from the world's leading travel magazines and international media in general.
Most recently in October, the US magazine Forbes ranked Ha Long Bay among the 24 best destinations for 2024, stating that it is “one of the world’s most unique ecosystems and geological formations. Few places have such a combination of natural beauty, outdoor activities, fresh food, tranquility and easy access.”
At the end of October, the famous international magazine Condé Nast Traveler also included Ha Long Bay in the list of 51 most beautiful destinations in the world. In February 2023, the famous international travel magazine Travel + Leisure recommended Ha Long Bay as one of the 4 ideal destinations to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets that tourists can visit in any season.
Previously, international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler also listed Ha Long Bay as one of the most colorful destinations in the world. In March 2023, CNN's travel site voted Ha Long Bay in the top 25 most beautiful destinations in the world.

Ha Long Bay has also become the setting for Hollywood movies such as the blockbuster “Kong: The Skull of Island” and “The Creator”, a science fiction film directed by Gareth Edwards.
In the list of 10 most visited natural wonders in the world, there are other famous places such as: Grand Canyon, Arizona (USA) ranked first with 5 million visitors per year; Table Mountain (South Africa) ranked second with 4.2 million visitors per year; Moraine Lake (Canada) ranked third with 4 million visitors per year.
Following Ha Long Bay are the following wonders: Matterhorn (Switzerland and Italy); Great Barrier Reef (Australia); Arches National Park, Utah (USA); Cliffs of Moher (Ireland); Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil); Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
