Vinh Phuc is one of 15 localities in the country that no longer has temporary or dilapidated houses.

With the spirit of "leaving no one behind", Vinh Phuc is one of the localities nationwide to be awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for its outstanding achievements in the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses since 2005. Along with that, in the 2019 - 2024 term, the Provincial VFF Committee and its member organizations mobilized all levels, sectors, localities, businesses and people to contribute more than 111 billion VND, building 1,921 solidarity houses for poor households, an increase of more than 400 houses compared to the previous term.

In 2024 alone, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations mobilized socialized resources to support the construction and repair of houses for 179 poor, near-poor, and extremely disadvantaged households with a total amount of more than 11.8 billion VND.

According to the review results up to February 2025, in the province, there are 520 poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties requesting repair and renovation (repair and renovation of 1 of 3 structures of the house: roof, wall or floor).

Since the beginning of the year, Lap Thach district has built and repaired 25 houses for poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the district.

Implementing the Prime Minister 's direction on promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 7646 on implementing support for policy households with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties in the whole province and joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units and localities to continue to promote propaganda, mobilize and encourage people, organizations and enterprises to share responsibility with the State in supporting housing for policy households, meritorious people, poor and near-poor households with degraded houses that need to be repaired and rebuilt throughout the province in 2025.

Mobilize and create consensus in society so that all classes of people in the province support and join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
