Technology transfer allows Vietnam to quickly access leading modern technologies, optimize research and development activities, promptly serve domestic needs and firmly ensure national health security.

“Proactive domestic production will help ensure adequate supply of high-quality vaccines and reduce vaccine costs for people. This will be of great significance in the vaccine coverage strategy, protecting the health of all people, thereby reducing the burden of disease, reducing medical examination and treatment costs, and improving the quality of life,” Mr. Ngo Chi Dung expected.

At the same time, Mr. Ngo Chi Dung said that in the strategic vision of contributing to the goal of national vaccine self-sufficiency, VNVC will build a modern VNVC Vaccine and Biological Products Factory, with a scale of up to 26,000m2 in Long An province. With an initial investment of VND 2,000 billion, the VNVC vaccine factory is designed to meet the highest standards of the most modern Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Union (EU), and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
