Vovinam is increasingly spreading strongly in the student community nationwide.

On the morning of April 12, at Vinh Long University of Education and Technology, the opening ceremony of the 4th VLUTE Open Student Vovinam Tournament in 2025 took place. The tournament was attended by 17 delegations from universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta region and Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, 170 student athletes will compete on April 12-13, competing in 8 martial arts events and 15 combat events in both male and female weight categories.

This year's tournament is held in the atmosphere of the youth of the whole country looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Thereby demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity, it is an opportunity for students to learn, exchange, share and spread the beautiful values ​​of Vovinam, a martial art honored as a national intangible cultural heritage.

This is a traditional tournament organized annually by the Student Association of Vinh Long University of Education and Technology, but this is the first year it has expanded to schools in Ho Chi Minh City and attracted the largest number of schools and athletes to participate in all the times it has been organized. This proves that Vovinam is increasingly spreading strongly in the student community nationwide.
