Was the assassination of former President Trump predicted in a movie?

On July 13, 2024, former US President Donald Trump (78 years old) was attacked during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. A gunman fired multiple shots at the former President from the roof of a nearby building.

Many people expressed "relief" when this time "The Simpsons" did not predict the incident completely correctly, when in fact, former President Trump was only injured.

In his first statement after the incident, Mr. Trump said: "I was shot by a bullet that passed through the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong when I heard the whistling, the gunshot, and felt the bullet tear through my skin."

Mr Trump also thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their “quick response”.

The attack left one person dead and at least two injured. The suspect was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks (20), who has since died.

A former executive of "The Simpsons" previously told Reuters that claims about the show's ability to "predict the future" are false.

Any similarity between images in the cartoon and real-life events is purely coincidental.

This isn't the first time The Simpsons has been accused of "predicting" events involving Mr. Trump and other world events.

Previously, the program was also said to have accurately predicted Mr. Trump's election as president in 2016.
