The Russian military website Top War reported that the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Admiral Alexander Moiseyev attended a ceremony to award the Order of Nakhimov to the 25th Division, held in Kamchatka in the Far East on September 18.

Speaking at the event, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy mentioned the current situation of the country's submarine fleet as well as the Pacific Fleet.

According to him, the Pacific Fleet's training and equipment are at their highest level today, and the 25th Division has modern submarines equipped with the most powerful and destructive weapons.

"It should be noted that these are modern ships. A completely different level of technology. The weapons, first of all, have the highest operational reliability. And I don't even need to say about the readiness of the weapons: extremely high," Admiral Moiseyev emphasized.

In another development, on the same day, the Kremlin responded to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's rejection of warnings that it would cross a "red line" if it allowed Ukraine to use Western long-range weapons to attack deep into Russia despite warnings from President Vladimir Putin.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the move by the NATO Secretary General is provocative and dangerous.

Regarding the decree to increase the size of the armed forces to 2,389,130 people, including 1,500,000 soldiers, on September 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this was due to the need to supplement the staff for units in new military districts.

“On the basis of close cooperation between the federal and regional authorities, it is necessary to solve the main task of ensuring that the armed forces are built up from trained and prepared people,” the leader was quoted by TASS news agency as saying.

Paying special attention to the permanent combat-ready units and complexes of the new military districts, he stated that the new decree on increasing troop numbers "is aimed at solving this very goal."
