Coast Guard Region 2 simultaneously lit candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at 8 martyr cemeteries in the Central region.

ĐNO - On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 organized a series of meaningful gratitude activities, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers".

On the evening of July 26, more than 160 cadres and youth union members of the Region, along with 1,600 cadres, party members and people, participated in a candle-lighting ceremony at 8 martyr cemeteries in the communes of Nam Cua Viet (Quang Tri), Nui Thanh, Tam Hai ( Da Nang ) and Van Tuong (Quang Ngai), to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

With the motto "wherever there are coast guard officers and soldiers, there is military-civilian affection", the unit has closely coordinated with local authorities to carry out many practical "gratitude" activities.

Coast Guard Region 2 visited and presented 116 gifts worth 54 million VND to war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services in Da Nang, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai . The unit also visited and presented gifts worth 50 million VND to 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who were receiving care and presented gifts worth 9 million VND to the Nursing Center for People with Meritorious Services in Da Nang (base 2) and Quang Ngai , encouraging war invalids who are being treated.

The region organized a meeting with 132 relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers working in the unit and visited and presented gifts worth 4.5 million VND to 4 soldiers undergoing medical treatment.

Military medical forces and youth union members coordinated with local authorities to examine, provide health consultation, and provide free medicine to nearly 35 policy beneficiaries in disadvantaged coastal and island communes, while also repairing and renovating 8 martyr cemeteries and 3 memorials.
