Dong Cam Commune (Kim Thanh) socialized more than 30 billion VND to build a model new rural area.

From support and sponsorship from businesses and contributions from the people, many rural roads have been renovated and widened from 3 - 4 m to 5 - 6.5 m.

The commune mobilized people to contribute and businesses and philanthropists to support more than 30 billion VND (businesses supported and sponsored 17 billion VND, people contributed 13.5 billion VND).

From the support and sponsorship of businesses and contributions from the people, many roads in the commune and village have been renovated and widened from 3 - 4 m to 5 - 6.5 m, installing high-pressure lighting systems on main traffic routes such as Dong Xa Bac village road, Minh Tien village road to the fields; Quang Binh village road, Dong Xa Nam village road... All main traffic routes of the commune, village and hamlet have been paved with asphalt and concrete.

100% of cultural houses in Dong Cam commune are equipped with outdoor sports equipment.

Dong Cam Commune is being proposed by the People's Committee of Kim Thanh District to be recognized by the province as a model new rural commune. The average income per capita of the commune in 2024 will reach 83.23 million VND, an increase of 8.17 million VND compared to 2023 (4.33 million VND higher than the average level of the district).

In 2021, Dong Cam commune achieved advanced new rural standards.

Kim Thanh district currently has 14 communes and towns. 9 communes that meet the advanced new rural standards are: Lai Khe, Kim Xuyen, Kim Lien, Ngu Phuc, Kim Dinh, Kim Tan, Dong Cam, Dai Duc, Tam Ky. 3 communes that meet the new rural standards are: Hoa Binh , Tuan Viet, Vu Dung. Kim Anh commune meets the model new rural standards and Phu Thai town meets the civilized urban standards.
