The unceasing efforts of Tay Ninh youth in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints have brought initial results in orienting public opinion,educating union members and youths on how to recognize the methods and tricks of hostile forces in cyberspace, gradually building a solid defense line on the ideological front.

From the beginning of April until now, on the occasion of two major national holidays - the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union has carried out practical and meaningful propaganda activities, strongly spreading the spirit of national pride and love for the homeland among young people.

Effective in ideological orientation for youth

The propaganda work on social networking platforms has been actively promoted by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee throughout the past 2 months, contributing to creating a "green" cyberspace with historical information and examples of great national heroes; strongly propagating the ideology of studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings through beautiful and kind stories... Along with that is the effort to push back negative information, anti-Party and anti-State information on social networking sites and among union members and youth.

Specifically, in April, the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union Fanpage posted more than 172 articles, citing more than 120 news, articles, and sources about important political events of the country and the province. On the Zalo OA channel, Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union posted 13 articles; Song xanh Tay Ninh posted 15 articles. The official news and information that are constantly updated have contributed to orienting the thoughts and effectively grasping public opinion among young people, thereby, youth forums have become official media channels, trusted by many young people.

Ngo Thi Kim Cuong, a 10th grade student at Nguyen Thai Binh High School, Duong Minh Chau District, shared that for nearly a year now, she has been visiting the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union Fanpage almost every day to follow news about youth activities in her home province as well as news and political events in the country. She also prioritizes the Provincial Youth Union Fanpage because she finds it an official news page with useful news.

According to Kim Cuong, the news on the Provincial Youth Union Fanpage closely follows current events, promptly orienting the thoughts and actions of union members and youth. The presentation is vivid, with clear illustrations and attractive video clips. Some Fanpages invest well in images, graphics and captions, with rich infographics to concretize information, helping to increase the level of access and interaction with viewers.

Many posts have good interactions (likes, shares, comments) showing the interest of union members. Fanpages also regularly use hashtags, tag units, localities, or connect with emerging trends to increase the spread. However, Cuong also commented that some Fanpages have not yet effectively exploited new social networking platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, hoping that in the near future, the Provincial Youth Union will replicate the propaganda model on other social networking platforms.

Talking about the initial effectiveness of the work of protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and State in cyberspace, Ms. Trinh Thi Nhu Trang - Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union said that through the core force, the information channels of the Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, and the Youth Union chapters at all levels carry out the work of grasping and regularly orienting the situation of public opinion among cadres, union members, youth and people in localities and units; promptly synthesizing, analyzing, reflecting and proposing solutions to functional agencies and superiors.

Building a shield on the ideological front

Through the movement "Each Youth Union official is a fighter in cyberspace, each Youth Union member is a propagandist on social networks" associated with the campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week", Tay Ninh youth has built a core youth force in the fight against crime and hostile forces in cyberspace.

From that movement, many young people have formed the habit of sharing positive information, knowing how to identify negativity, detecting signs of degradation, peaceful evolution, and promptly preventing and protecting themselves and those around them from bad and toxic information.

Chau Binh Nguyen (residing in Hao Duoc commune, Chau Thanh district), one of the exemplary members recognized by the Provincial Youth Union for his work in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and State in cyberspace in 2024, shared: “Faced with the increasing presence of bad and toxic information on social networks, I have realized the threat to the safety of my life and that of my relatives. Therefore, I have proactively disseminated information on preventing and combating wrongdoings in cyberspace. In my opinion, young people - with their dynamic, sharp and technological characteristics - are the core force on the front line of protecting ideology in the digital age. We are not only consumers of information but also creators of positive values, a “soft shield” but resilient against the increasingly sophisticated tricks of hostile forces. Young people today need to constantly practice their political mettle, stand firm against all distortions, and actively spread beautiful images of their homeland and country, contributing to building a healthy, civilized and humane cyberspace. That is also the way our young generation shows patriotism, faith in the Party and the desire to contribute to the sustainable development of the country."

Also one of the outstanding youth union members in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and the State, Nguyen Dang Duy - Deputy Head of Department 3, Tay Ninh Provincial Inspectorate shared that in the current context, young people play a very important role in fighting and preventing the plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces. Young people play an extremely important role, even the core and pioneering force in the fight against and preventing hostile forces in cyberspace today. They are sensitive to technology and information, quickly grasp information trends, and at the same time easily become targets of false information if not equipped with knowledge and skills to distinguish. Therefore, young people need to equip themselves with a solid "filter" - that is, to continuously study and seriously cultivate political, social and legal knowledge to build a correct cognitive foundation. When having knowledge and critical thinking, young people will have the ability to "resist" themselves against distorted and incorrect arguments.

For those who have skills and good theoretical thinking, we should encourage them to proactively write articles and produce creative media products to propagate and expose the plots and tricks of hostile forces. These products, with youthful language and modern approaches, will bear the mark of the young generation, be easily accepted and create a stronger spreading effect. Even if you do not directly create content, proactively sharing official, positive information; reporting bad and toxic content; commenting and refuting in a civilized, cultured, and reasoned manner are also practical contributions.
