Yen Khuong is a border commune of Thanh Hoa province. In recent years, with the attention and investment of the Party, the State and local authorities, people's lives have been gradually improved. However, social infrastructure, especially educational infrastructure, has not yet met the development requirements, especially school facilities, boarding and semi-boarding areas. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School is of special significance, with the expectation of opening the door to knowledge and nurturing the dreams of thousands of children in the border areas. At the same time, it demonstrates the special attention of the Party and State to education, especially for students in the border areas of the Fatherland.

Accordingly, the policy of building schools for border communes according to the conclusion of the Politburo in Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 is a major decision, with profound political, social and humanistic significance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to compatriots, soldiers, especially students in the "fence" areas of the Fatherland. This is a key and urgent political task in socio-economic development and implementing the policy of great national unity, aiming to improve people's knowledge, train and foster human resources, create a source of cadres from ethnic minorities and local people, take care of the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, contributing to strengthening national defense and security. Among the schools invested in construction in Thanh Hoa province is Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School.

According to the plan, Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School will be invested in construction in Bon village (Yen Khuong commune), with a total area of about 1.5 hectares; in which, the existing land area is about 1.25 hectares; the planned land area is 0.25 hectares. The total investment is about 90 billion VND.

The investment in the construction of Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School not only affirms the Party and State's concern for ethnic minorities, mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas, and difficult islands; but also demonstrates the importance of developing education as a top national policy, a "command of the heart". At the same time, it contributes to improving the quality of education, meeting the needs and aspirations of the people; and is the foundation for promoting socio -economic development in the province's border areas.

Through a survey at Bon village - the location where the groundbreaking ceremony for the Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School will take place, the investor and related units together with the local government are actively and busily preparing the conditions for the groundbreaking ceremony to take place successfully. In addition, during the survey, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noticed that some traffic routes in Yen Khuong commune had landslides that had not been repaired yet. Therefore, he requested that as soon as possible, the Department of Construction focus on mobilizing machinery to quickly repair and clear the route to ensure traffic safety and travel of the people, as well as to best serve the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Phong and the delegation also visited and encouraged the medical staff working at Yen Khuong Commune Health Station, visited the commune police force and Yen Khuong Border Guard Station.
