Belonging to the mini car segment, VF 3 has an overall length of more than 3.1 meters but is still designed with 5 seats, expected to be delivered at the end of 2024.

Following Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong's announcement that VinFast will make a small electric car at a low price, the brand has announced the VF 3 - the first mini car model of the Vietnamese car company. According to the manufacturer, the car was developed based on the characteristics and traffic habits of customers in Vietnam.

VinFast said that the VF 3 has an overall length of about 3,114mm, much shorter than the 3,965mm of its "senior" VF 5. Another idea is that townhouses with a frontage of about 4-5 meters, when parking the VF 3 in front of the door, still have enough space to walk or drive into the house.

Belonging to the mini car segment, VF 3 has a design of 2 side doors and 1 door to open the rear trunk. This is also the common style of some car models in the same segment, such as Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, which is about to be sold by TMT Motors in Vietnam. Despite its small size, VinFast said that the car still has enough interior space for 5 people.

The company's published images show that the VF 3 has square, tall lines. The rims are up to 16 inches in size, while some A-class hatchback models currently on the market are only equipped with 14 or 15 inch rims. Thanks to this equipment, the VF 3 promises to have a large ground clearance, suitable for travel needs in our country.

The square headlights and rearview mirrors, the stylized V-shaped bird logo on the front and rear bumpers. Not yet announced specifically, but VinFast said that VF 3 will have many colors for consumers to choose from. In the introductory image, the car is copper-colored, combined with a black roof and rearview mirrors.

VinFast has not mentioned much about the interior, only introducing it as "fully integrated basic smart features". Based on the published photos, the car has a beveled-bottom steering wheel, an electronic screen behind the steering wheel, and no entertainment screen. The dashboard is also relatively simple, stylized with different material panels.

Engine and battery specifications remain unknown. The company generally introduces that "the vehicle is equipped with an electric motor and battery with a travel range that meets the needs and daily usage habits of the majority of Vietnamese people". With the "senior" model, the VF 5 Plus, the vehicle has a range of over 300km on a single charge, according to NEDC standards.

The interior is quite simple on the VF 3, while the specifications have not been announced by the company.

VinFast said the VF 3 will have Eco and Plus versions, with prices "suitable for the majority of people" but did not give a specific figure. The company hopes that this can become a new "national vehicle" for Vietnamese people, contributing to the realization of the "car dream" of millions of families, thereby popularizing electric cars in Vietnam.

It is expected that VinFast VF 3 will officially accept orders in September 2023 and be delivered in the third quarter of 2024. To date, the company has launched 6 electric car models in segments A to E, including VF 5 Plus, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9.
