Thanh Buoi bus runs again on Ho Chi Minh City route

According to the HCM City Department of Transport, after re-issuing the transport business license, in addition to the fixed routes to Can Tho, Thanh Buoi bus company has been re-issued badges for 29 cars operating under contract, 31 trucks, 6 container trucks, 6 shuttle cars, and 2 tourist cars.

This company has now reopened the Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho route with a frequency of 20 - 24 trips per day (both outbound and return), with each bus departing about an hour apart on average. The Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat and Can Tho - Da Lat routes have not yet reopened.

Previously, Thanh Buoi bus company had its transportation business license revoked for 3 months from October 24, 2023 to February 3, 2024 and was administratively fined a total of VND 91 million for violations during its operations.

In November 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport continued to issue a decision to revoke the car transport business license indefinitely for this bus company due to "providing a copy that is not true to the original or providing false information in the application for a business license".

Thanh Buoi Company Limited was re-issued a transportation business license at the end of February. The types of business activities allowed in the license include: fixed-route passenger transportation, contract-based passenger transportation, tourist transportation, and freight transportation by car and container.

The City Department of Transport requested Thanh Buoi bus company to seriously rectify and remedy the consequences according to the decision. This bus company must comply with the law after resuming operations.
