On January 16, at residential group 11, Ea Tam ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, the People's Court of Dak Lak province opened a public first-instance trial of the criminal case "Terrorism against the people's government; Terrorism; Organizing illegal exit and entry for others; Concealing criminals" that occurred in Cu Kuin district (Dak Lak province) against 100 defendants.
Of which, 53 defendants were prosecuted by the People's Procuracy of Dak Lak province for the crime of terrorism against the people's government; 45 defendants were prosecuted by the People's Procuracy of the province for the crime of terrorism";
1 defendant was prosecuted by the Provincial People's Procuracy for the crime of Organizing illegal entry and exit for others; 1 defendant was prosecuted for the crime of Concealing criminals.

On the first day of trial, the Trial Panel checked the identity of the defendants (94 defendants were present, 6 defendants were absent) and the participants in the proceedings; explained the rights and obligations of the defendants and participants in the proceedings.
After the trial proceedings ended, the representative of the People's Procuracy of Dak Lak province announced the indictment against the defendants, clearly stating the defendants' criminal acts as well as the charges, articles and clauses of the Penal Code applicable to the defendants.
At the trial, there were 19 lawyers and legal assistants defending 65 defendants, ensuring the defendants' right to defense according to the provisions of law.
Late in the afternoon of January 16, the Trial Council continued to question a number of defendants.

The first day of the trial took place in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, security and order were ensured. On the next day of the trial, the Trial Panel continued to conduct the questioning in accordance with the procedure.
