The People's Committee of Dak Lak province has just issued a decision to fine ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company (the unit that produces Kera vegetable candy for Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company) more than 224 million VND, and at the same time forced the destruction of more than 4,000 products.

On the afternoon of April 10, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province announced that it had just issued a decision to fine ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company, located at 18/99 Nguyen Van Linh, Ea Tu commune, Buon Ma Thuot city, more than VND224 million. In addition, the company was also forced to destroy more than 4,000 products.

According to the penalty decision of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company had committed the act of not fully monitoring the temperature and humidity of raw materials and products in the storage area and warehouse.

ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company produces food that is required to establish and apply a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system that has been established but not fully applied in practice. The company produces products that are subject to self-declaration of products that do not comply with the announced standards.

In addition, this company also traded and circulated food products with additives that exceeded the announced standards. The total value of the violating goods was more than 67.5 million VND.

For the above acts, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee decided to fine ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company more than 224 million VND. This company was also suspended from all food production activities for two months.

In addition, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province forced the recall and destruction of 4,080 products of "SUPERGREENS GUMMIES" (Kera vegetable candy) because they did not meet the announced standards.

Previously, on March 7, implementing the direction of the Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health , Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health established an Inspection Team to inspect the compliance with legal regulations in the field of food safety for ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company.

The inspection contents include legal documents; conditions of the company's facilities, personnel, and equipment; food production processes; traceability of food ingredients, food additives, declaration documents for food packaging, etc.

The inspection team took a sample of SUPERGREENS GUMMIES (Kera vegetable candy) with a quantity of 96g/box, produced at the company and sent the food sample to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control to test food safety quality according to regulations.

Regarding this case, previously, on April 3, the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to prosecute the accused, the arrest warrant for temporary detention and the search warrant for the residence and workplace of five accused to investigate the acts of "Producing counterfeit food products and deceiving customers".

The defendants prosecuted and temporarily detained include: Nguyen Phong, born on November 14, 1986, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company, permanent residence in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province;

Le Tuan Linh, born on February 19, 1989, Director, legal representative of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company , permanent address in Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city;

Le Thanh Cong, born June 6, 1989, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company;

Pham Quang Linh, also known as Quang Linh Vlogs, born on December 10, 1998, residing in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company, native of Nghe An;

Nguyen Thi Thai Hang, also known as Hang "Du Muc", born August 3, 1995, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company, from Vinh Phuc.

According to the initial investigation results, the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security has determined that the defendants have signs of committing the crime of producing fake food products and deceiving customers, according to the provisions of Articles 193 and 198 of the Penal Code.
