Touching opening ceremony at school where students 'sing' national anthem with their hands

As the only school in Hanoi with specialized classes for hearing-impaired children, the opening ceremony on the morning of September 5 at Xa Dan Secondary School was quite special.
On the morning of September 5, in the atmosphere of the whole country, teachers and students of Xa Dan Secondary School (Hanoi) also held the Opening Ceremony. But this was a very special opening ceremony, when teachers and students used their hands to sing the National Anthem and read the letter from General Secretary and President To Lam tothe Education sector on the occasion of the new school year 2024-2025.
Early in the morning, teachers, students and parents of the school were present to prepare for the opening ceremony.
The teachers kindly encouraged and shared with the students. At this school, most conversations are conducted by students using... their hands. At exactly 8 o'clock, the school drum rang, signaling the beginning of the opening ceremony. Students of all grades sit in neat rows.
The song "Marching Song" played. The "special" students looked up at the red flag with yellow star fluttering and sang the National Anthem in their own way. Many parents accompanied their children on the opening day of school. According to teachers, singing the national anthem collectively using body language for deaf students requires many weeks of practice.
