Security experts warn that 12 Android apps contain VajraSpy malware that can secretly record audio and steal user data without their knowledge.

The ESET research team has just discovered 12 Android applications that have the ability to secretly record audio in the background: TikTalk, MeetMe, Let's Chat, Quick Chat, Chit Chat, Yohoo Talk, Rafaqat, Privee Talk, Nidus, GlowChat, Wave Chat

These apps use VajraSpy malware to steal contacts, messages, location, and calls.

Hackers often impersonate on Facebook and WhatsApp to trick users into installing malicious applications.

Some apps that have appeared on Google Play include TikTalk, MeetMe, Let's Chat, Quick Chat, Chit Chat, and Yohoo Talk.

Despite being removed from the Play Store, the APKs are still spreading through private messages.

Users should avoid installing apps from unknown sources and carefully check access permissions.

Signs of malware infection include rapid battery drain, microphone turning on by itself, and abnormal data increase.

If in doubt, use security software to scan and remove dangerous applications immediately.
