120 forest owners receive payment for forest environmental services

Accordingly, forest owners who are eligible to pay for forest environmental services but have not opened an account have come to the People's Committees of communes and wards according to the schedule and time to receive payment for forest environmental services. Forest owners who are eligible to pay for forest environmental services are also supported by Fund staff to open bank accounts. In this payment, Dien Bien Phu city has 120 forest owners receiving forest environmental services with a total area of ​​53.994 hectares providing forest environmental services (51.4 hectares are paid for forest environmental services).

With simple procedures, forest owners who are households or individuals only need to bring their ID card or citizen ID card with the land and forest allocation decision. In case the forest owner does not come to receive the money and sends someone else to receive it on his/her behalf, he/she only needs to have a power of attorney (according to current regulations) to receive the money. In case of wrong name, there must be confirmation from the People's Committee of the commune/ward. In case the forest owner is deceased, there must be a death certificate and minutes of the family meeting to send a representative to receive the money. In addition, forest owners who are households or individuals only need to bring their ID card or citizen ID card to complete the procedures to open a bank account. Thanks to that, the payment of forest environmental services in communes and wards in Dien Bien Phu city has taken place quickly, objectively, honestly, and to the right recipients; bringing income to local people.
