120 billion VND for emergency embankment of Vu Gia River through Ai Nghia

This is a group B project; agricultural and rural development project, level III. Total investment is 120 billion VND (construction cost accounts for more than 74.8 billion VND; site clearance accounts for 31 billion VND). Of which, the provincial budget supports 84 billion VND, Dai Loc district budget 36 billion VND. Project implementation period is 2024 - 2027.

Land use area is about 7 hectares to build an emergency embankment on the bank of Vu Gia river, Ai Nghia town area (local name is Yen river) with a total embankment length of about 1,384.4m. Including the section starting from the East abutment of Ai Nghia bridge (DT609 road at km15+800) to the South abutment of Hoa Dong bridge (DT609B road at km5+170) with a length of about 925.10m; the section from the South abutment of Hoa Dong bridge to the existing cement concrete road (Thai Lien Garment Company area) with a length of about 459.3m.

Constructing a road on the top of the embankment connecting the two routes DT609 and DT609B, including traffic items, sidewalks, trees, lighting, drainage system and other related items. The longitudinal elements of the route ensure the technical requirements of the main internal street according to TCVN 13592:2022, design speed 30km/h. The roadbed is 20.5m wide; in which the sidewalk close to the river bank is 10m wide, the road surface is 7.5m wide (asphalt concrete), the sidewalk inside is 3m wide.

According to the investor (Project Management Board and Construction Order of Dai Loc district), this embankment will be built to prevent riverbank erosion and protect existing residential areas. The top of the embankment will have roads and drainage systems, lighting, and trees to both protect the environment and increase the beauty of the Vu Gia riverbank (Yen river) through Ai Nghia town, creating a driving force for recovery and development of the local socio -economy, expanding and upgrading the urban center of Dai Loc district.

The emergency embankment project of Vu Gia river, Ai Nghia town area has had its feasibility study report appraised by the competent authority. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Loc district has also organized a conference to comment on the above project.
