On April 10, Facebook account LTS posted content claiming that a seafood restaurant on Tran Phu Street (Nha Trang City) had "ripped off" Chinese tourists.
"My boss took his friends out for a late-night meal, all 3 of them were Chinese, and they had just finished dinner at 9:30 p.m. at D.S. restaurant. I didn't go there myself, but when paying, everyone was shocked by the price, so they called me over" - account LTS stated.

Attached to the comment was a payment receipt worth more than 8.7 million VND, including 2.8kg of crab, 2kg of squid, and 3.5kg of clams and sea urchins each.
LTS said that Chinese customers were not given prices, nor did they see the volume when ordering.
"3 people ate 11.8kg of seafood. Is that realistic?" - S. asked.
This account also posted that the seafood restaurant does not accept payment by bank transfer, but only accepts cash.
"When I came to request a transfer, the restaurant insisted that they did not have a bank account and only accepted cash. After much haggling, a friend from another table heard the noise and came out to receive the transfer, so that he could later send the restaurant cash," Mr. S. wrote.

Mr. S. shared that he wanted to post this story on social media so that tourists would be more vigilant and careful before entering the restaurant. At the same time, he hoped that the authorities would intervene to "clean up the local tourism environment".
After receiving feedback from the people, Nha Trang City issued a document requesting Market Management Team No. 1 to preside over and coordinate with other departments to urgently inspect and handle the above information, propose measures to strictly handle violations according to legal regulations (if any); report to Nha Trang City People's Committee before 10:00 a.m. on April 12.
