On the morning of November 7, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province quickly reported on the damage caused by storm No. 13 in the area. Accordingly, coastal areas and Ly Son special economic zone had strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10; Tra Cau area had gusts of level 8, Ba To had gusts of level 6.

Initial damage recorded 3 people missing in Ly Son; 3 others injured (including 2 people in Thien Tin commune and one person in Binh Chuong). In the whole province, 61 houses had their roofs blown off or damaged; in Long Phung commune, coastal erosion threatened a coastal road about 230m long.
Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said that before storm No. 13, the whole province evacuated 30,490 households with 89,738 people to safe places. Of which, the areas directly affected include 8 southern communes and wards and Ly Son island area with 4,768 households (13,846 people).
The on-site response force included the Provincial Military Command mobilizing 25 cars, ambulances, and canoes; the Provincial Police mobilized more than 3,700 officers and soldiers, along with 5,250 pieces of equipment and vehicles to coordinate with local authorities to carry out the task.
