Accordingly, the standard program recruits 3,605 students, the English Teaching and Learning program recruits 1,380 students.

The school applies two main admission methods. Of which, the comprehensive admission method accounts for 95% to 99% of the total enrollment quota, based on academic performance, other abilities and social activities.

The remaining method is direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school, accounting for 1% to 5% of the total quota.

The subjects of the combined admission method are divided into many groups, including candidates with or without the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test, candidates who graduated from high school in the country and abroad, candidates using international admission certificates such as SAT, ACT, IB, A-Level...

In case of using international certificates not included in the published list, the Admissions Council will consider each case specifically.

The International Transfer Program in Australia, the US, and New Zealand is for candidates who plan to study abroad under the school's program. The joint program with UTS University (Australia) is for candidates who graduated from high school in the country with an average grade of 8.0 or higher in grade 12, or graduated from high school abroad, or used international certificates.

Regarding the subject combinations for admission, the school has adjusted them to suit the 2018 general education program. If a candidate has many combinations, the combination with the highest score will be used for admission.

In addition, some programs require candidates to have an entry level of English. Specifically, the English Teaching and Learning program, the Advanced program, and the International Transfer program require IELTS from 6.0 or higher, or equivalent certificates such as TOEFL iBT from 79, TOEIC 4 skills with sufficient scores according to regulations. If the score is lower, candidates can be considered for temporary admission and must complete the English standard within one semester.

For joint programs with UTS University, English requirements are more stringent: IELTS from 6.5 (writing skill ≥ 6.0), TOEFL iBT ≥ 79 (writing ≥ 21) or equivalent certificates.

In addition, the school will convert international English certificate scores to English subject scores in admission combinations if candidates have an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT of 46 or higher, or TOEIC 4 skills that meet the requirements.

The threshold to ensure input quality of the comprehensive admission method is 50 points on a 100-point scale. In case the candidate belongs to many groups, the highest admission result will be used for admission consideration.
