8 teams compete in the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup

VHO - On the afternoon of July 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, the announcement and draw ceremony for the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup took place. This is the 9th consecutive year that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has coordinated with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) to organize the tournament.

Following the success of the 2025 National Championship season, the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Cup will be held centrally at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium (Binh Thoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

The organizers provide more information about the tournament.

The tournament will take place from August 3 to 12 with the participation of 8 teams across the country, including: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako , Hanoi , Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City, Luxury Ha Long and Tre Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening ceremony of the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup will be held at 5:30 p.m. on August 3 at the competition venue.

In this year's tournament, 8 teams are divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each, playing a round robin to calculate points. Accordingly, the 1st and 2nd teams in each group will have the right to continue to compete for the championship.

In the semi-finals, the first team of Group A will meet the second team of Group B, and the first team of Group B will meet the second team of Group A. Meanwhile, the two third-placed teams will compete for fifth place, while the two bottom teams in each group will compete for seventh place.

Thai Son Bac (white shirt) is the defending champion of the tournament.

This year, the National Futsal HDBank Cup takes place just over 1 month after the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Championship ends.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary of VFF shared: "This will be an opportunity for the clubs to continue to affirm their position, and at the same time help the national team's coaching board have a basis to evaluate and select players for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Qualifiers, scheduled to take place next September.

The tournament is not only a sporting event but also has profound political and cultural significance, demonstrating the social responsibility of agencies and organizations in creating a rich and healthy sporting life for the people.

This year's tournament was held early to create conditions for the Vietnam Futsal team to concentrate and compete in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Qualifiers, which will take place from September 20 to September 24.

The Vietnam Futsal team will gather after the 2025 National Futsal HDBank Cup ends to prepare for this important tournament.
