From September 15-17, the second Techcombank Hanoi Marathon will take place, spreading the spirit of "Running for a Superior Vietnam".

With the participation of 9,000 domestic and international athletes, the race will continue to be a highlight and a prominent sports and tourism event of the capital city. Not only is it a playground for athletes and 30 famous KOLs, but the event is also a sports festival where children aged 5 to 14 have the opportunity to experience and create their own unique memories.

All routes for the four distances—42.195km (marathon), 21.1km (half-marathon), 10km, and 5km—are certified by the prestigious International Marathon Association (AIMS). Starting from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, marathon and half-marathon runners will have the opportunity to experience 39 distinctive landmarks of Hanoi such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, the Grand Opera House, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Long Bien Bridge, Bac Son Monument, etc.

Athletes in all four distances will finish at Vinhomes Riverside Long Bien urban area – a miniature Venice of Italy. These 39 unique check-in points also represent the message that Hanoi wants to promote to tourists and friends from all over the world about a friendly, peaceful, and developing destination.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, shared his pride that the Techcombank Hanoi Marathon continues its mission : “The Techcombank Hanoi Marathon returning to Hanoi for the second time is not only a symbol of the solidarity and perseverance of the community, but also an important activity in promoting a healthy and vibrant Hanoi.”

The unique running route, blending tradition and modernity, promises athletes an emotionally charged journey, where they will not only experience the joy of running but also appreciate the cultural flow from tradition to modernity in the thousand-year-old capital city. In the future, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will continue to work closely with the organizers to elevate the event, both in scale and quality, developing it into a representative race of the city, on par with other events in the region.

In particular, the appeal of this year's event is further confirmed by the participation of many professional athletes and high-achieving athletes from the region and the world such as Nguyen Trung Cuong, Nguyen Van Lai, Pham Thi Hong Le, Le Tien Long, Trinh Quoc Luong, Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Thi Oanh, and international representatives Immaculate Chemutai (Uganda), Koros J Chesire (Kenya), and Kipsang Charles Kipkorir (Kenya).

The medals of the 2nd Hanoi Marathon Techcombank are also a noteworthy highlight, depicting iconic images of the capital city and connecting the spirit of the interplay between tradition, modernity, and a forward-looking perspective.

The Finisher shirt, designed in a powerful black color, is specifically for marathon runners, symbolizing perseverance and extraordinary effort in overcoming challenges and leaving their mark after the season.

Furthermore, the significant increase in the number of athletes from businesses and running clubs demonstrates the strong growing trend of healthy living within the community. The participation of a host of prominent businesses such as Masterise, Vinfast, Vinmec, Shopee, FPT Software, CMC, Eagle Camp, Gear INC, Goshi, Emin, and running clubs like Happy Feet and QMR… promises to create excitement for this year's race.

From the very beginning of the second season of the Techcombank Hanoi Marathon, Techcombank launched three unique playlists on Spotify specifically for runners. Each playlist was designed to suit the personality and goals of the athletes, helping to increase inspiration and motivation during training. Specifically, "Let's Get Started" – with its lively melody – helps "awaken" the body to be ready for the challenge at the start; "Enhance Your Endurance" – for runners with endurance, aiming to run further than their set goals; and "Accelerate Powerfully" with energetic music to encourage runners to sprint and reach the finish line.

Not only a playground for professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes, the KIDS RUN race for children aged 5 to 14 also promises to be an exciting event. It will contribute to fostering sportsmanship, strengthening willpower, and nurturing a passion for running in children from a young age.

In addition, diverse sports activities and services from over 25 exhibition booths in the Marathon Village area promise to bring athletes and families a vibrant sports festival, where everyone attending the event will find a reason to run, a motivation to break their limits, and constantly strive for a spirit of "Be greater - excel every day".
