9am May 3: Continued gold auction, deposit price 82.9 million/tael

According to the announcement of the Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department of the State Bank (SBV), at 9:00 a.m. on Friday (May 3), the SBV will organize a gold bar auction with a volume of 16,800 taels of SJC gold bars, the reference price for deposit calculation is 82.9 million VND/tael.

The State Bank continues to auction 16,800 taels of gold bars.

The gold auction will take place at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department, 25 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi .

Participating units are required to deposit 10%, the reference price to calculate the deposit value is 82.9 million VND/tael. The minimum bidding volume each member is allowed to buy is 14 lots (equivalent to 1,400 taels), the maximum bidding volume is 20 lots (equivalent to 2,000 taels). The bidding price step is 10,000 VND/tael, the bidding volume step is 1 lot (100 taels).

As of 5:00 p.m. on May 2, the SJC gold price traded at SJC Company was VND82.90 - 85.10 million/tael, down VND100,000/tael for both buying and selling compared to the session on May 1. This price also occurred similarly at the PNJ system.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau, SJC gold price is traded at 82.95 - 84.85 million VND/tael, an increase of 350,000 VND/tael for buying and 200,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the session on May 1.

Previously, on April 25, the State Bank had to cancel the auction because only one unit submitted a bid. After three auctions, only one auction on April 23 took place as planned, with the result that two members won the bid, with a total volume of 34 lots (3,400 taels); the highest winning bid price was VND82.33 million/tael, the lowest winning bid price was VND81.32 million/tael.
