In the first nine months of the year, outstanding loans across the entire banking sector reached over 108 trillion VND.

According to the State Bank of Vietnam's provincial branch, as of September 30th, total deposits in the banking sector reached VND 94,922 billion, an increase of 7.15% compared to the same period in 2023; total outstanding loans reached VND 108,034 billion, an increase of 3.33% compared to the end of 2023. Of this, short-term loans amounted to VND 67,901 billion, an increase of 6.24%; medium and long-term loans totaled VND 40,133 billion, a decrease of 1.26%; and non-performing loans amounted to VND 873 billion, accounting for 0.81% of total outstanding loans.

By promptly addressing customer difficulties, along with implementing policies to restructure repayment terms and maintain debt classifications, and supporting customers facing difficulties with a total value of VND 521.6 billion/160 customers..., credit institutions in the province have diversified their approaches to understanding loan needs and providing timely capital for feasible production and business plans and projects of enterprises, implementing many credit packages with preferential interest rates to customers, notably credit programs for production, business, and priority sectors.

Specifically, outstanding loans for agricultural and rural development reached VND 39,255 billion; loans to businesses serving import and export activities reached VND 11,404 billion; loans to businesses in industrial parks reached VND 5,198 billion; and loans for social housing, worker housing, and renovation and reconstruction of old apartment buildings totaled VND 95 billion (VND 73.8 billion has been disbursed)...

Social security credit programs were given attention and implemented; outstanding loans reached VND 6,203 billion, an increase of 3.1% compared to the end of 2023.
