On the morning of April 21, the Indian advance delegation led by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Raina, Executive Director of the International Buddhist Federation, came to Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ba Sao Ward, Kim Bang Town) to work on the event of enshrining the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni during the upcoming 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Nguyen Anh Chuc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice Chairman, General Secretary of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Vice Chairman, General Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Vesak Festival; Most Venerable Thich Minh Quang, member of the Secretary of the Executive Council, Deputy Chief of Office 1 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Abbot of Tam Chuc Pagoda; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police, the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee Office, Kim Bang town and Tam Chuc Tourist Area.

The United Nations Vesak 2025 will take place from May 6 to 8 in Ho Chi Minh City. One of the important events at the festival is the procession of the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India - to Vietnam for enshrinement from May 2 to 21 in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province, Hanoi city and Ha Nam province. The program to welcome the relics of Buddha in Ha Nam is expected to take place from May 17 to 21. The relics will be welcomed and placed at Tam The temple for people, Buddhists and pilgrims to worship.

On behalf of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien hopes to receive the attention of provincial leaders, departments, and branches so that the event takes place solemnly, respectfully, and safely. In response to the Most Venerable, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Anh Chuc said that Ha Nam province and Tam Chuc pagoda are honored to welcome the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni to be enshrined at Tam Chuc pagoda on the occasion of the United Nations Vesak 2025. This is an event that will attract great attention from Buddhists inside and outside the province.

Ha Nam province is proud to be the locality that successfully organized the United Nations Vesak Festival in 2019, so Ha Nam committed to the working delegation and the Indian Embassy to ensure the absolute safety of the Buddha's relics - the national treasure of India. After the working session, Ha Nam province will deploy a detailed and specific plan to welcome and enshrine the Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc Pagoda.
