An Giang spreads the movement to build a Study Encouragement Fund at district and commune levels

After nearly 4 years of implementing Project 347/DA-UBND, dated June 24, 2021 of the People's Committee of An Giang province on mobilizing the establishment of a District and Commune-level Learning Promotion Fund in the province, the movement to promote learning, encourage talents, and build a learning society in An Giang has been strongly spread, achieving many positive results.

As of March 2025, the total capital of the Provincial Education Promotion Fund will reach more than 200 billion VND (including district, commune and school levels).

Thoai Son district leads with 22.4 billion VND; Long Xuyen city reaches more than 2.3 billion VND. The whole province has 5/11 district-level units reaching the target of 2 billion VND; 50/155 communes, wards and towns reaching 500 million VND or more/fund.

During the implementation of the project, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education recognized many creative and effective mobilization models such as the mobilization of the "Nguyen Van Thoai Scholarship Fund" in Thoai Son district; "Ceremony to honor outstanding students" in Nhon My commune (Cho Moi district); "Fundraising art night" in Phu Tho commune (Phu Tan district)... These activities attracted the participation and active contributions of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province.

In order for the movement to continue to spread in the coming time, localities in the province will continue to promote solutions to develop the scholarship fund in a sustainable direction, associated with building a learning society in the area.
