According to A Bola , Arsenal have sent a signal to Gyokeres' representatives. The Gunners are willing to pay around £7m a year after tax to convince the striker to join. This means Gyokeres will receive around £240,000 a week, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club, behind only Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal are hoping to sign Gyokeres on a four-year deal. Signing Gyokeres is seen as more feasible and cost-effective than pursuing Newcastle's Alexander Isak, who is valued at up to £150m.
Sporting Lisbon are demanding a transfer fee of over £70m for Gyokeres. The Swedish striker has been in impressive form, scoring 95 goals in 100 games for the Portuguese side.
After being knocked out in the Champions League semi-finals and seeing Liverpool crowned Premier League champions, manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta both realised the team needed serious investment in attack.

However, there are mixed opinions about Gyokeres' ability to adapt to the Premier League, because the Primeira Liga is a completely different environment. Playing in England means that the player has to cope well with pressure and has to change every day to avoid being predictable.
Another striker on Arsenal's radar is Benjamin Sesko. The 21-year-old has scored 26 goals this season and is seen as an ideal option for the long-term future.
In addition to buying strikers, Arsenal also focuses on retaining the pillars of the team. The contracts of players Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel are all due to expire in the next 2 years, which has attracted the attention of many big clubs across Europe.
