The Aspark Owl supercar was tested at Alvington Airfield in northern England, on a test track of about 500m. During the test, the all-electric supercar reached a top speed of 318.85 km/h (or 198.12 mph). The speed record was set under the auspices and witnessed by the British Record Association.
According to the design, the supercar in the test is capable of accelerating from 0 - 100km/h in 1.72 seconds. To achieve that impressive performance, the car is equipped with 4 electric motors that produce a total capacity of up to 1,985 horsepower and 2,000 Nm of torque. In addition, the engine is also supported by a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery, helping the car reach a maximum speed of 400 km/h.
In addition to the high-performance powertrain, the Owl also features a monocoque chassis and carbon fiber bodywork. The car has an active aerodynamic design and carbon ceramic brakes with 10-piston calipers up front.
The Owl is a collaboration between Aspark and Manifattura Automobili Torino of Italy, which specializes in “unique” or limited edition cars. Accordingly, only 50 Owls will be built at a price of 3.19 million USD each.
