In the first 3 months of 2025, besides favorable conditions, the province's socio-economic situation continued to face many difficulties and challenges. Under the strong and effective leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and the efforts of all levels, sectors, business community and people in the province, the province's socio-economic situation in March and the first 3 months of the year continued to achieve many positive results.
The economic growth rate (GRDP) in the first quarter is estimated at 13.82%, higher than the expected scenario and leading the country (the expected scenario is 13%). Agricultural production ensures progress and comprehensive growth. Service industries continue to recover; import and export values maintain a fairly high growth rate. The assignment and implementation of public investment plans are directed and implemented resolutely; social security is concerned and ensured.
The cultural and social fields continue to develop; the quality of education is constantly improved, especially in key education, continuing to record new records in the national excellent student exam.
Many large-scale cultural events and activities are organized to better meet people's enjoyment needs; people's lives are basically stable.
Administrative reform, reorganization, streamlining of the apparatus and digital transformation were implemented vigorously, ensuring progress according to the central government's requirements. Local military work was strengthened; political security and social order and safety were ensured; traffic accidents decreased sharply in all three criteria...

However, some industries in the industrial sector still face many difficulties. Attracting foreign investment capital has decreased sharply compared to the same period last year. The number of dissolved and suspended enterprises is higher than the number of newly established enterprises.
The progress of investment and construction of centralized waste treatment plants is still slow. Debts in social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance for 3 months or more have decreased but are still high. Forest fires have increased compared to the same period last year in both number and damaged area.
In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee has set out 8 key tasks. In particular, it is to promote the implementation of resolutions of the Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee's Plan on socio-economic development tasks; improve the investment and business environment in 2025.
Many reporters from local and central press agencies raised many questions and received answers from representatives of provincial authorities and district People's Committees about current issues.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Mai Son noted: With 29 questions from journalists, the conference atmosphere was lively, all questions were answered by the provincial and local authorities, basically fully, meeting the requirements. That attention, companionship and support contributed to the socio-economic development results of the province in the first 3 months of the year and created momentum for the following period.
He emphasized: Industry and construction account for a very large proportion in the economic structure of Bac Giang province, contributing greatly to the growth in the past 3 months. The province always pays close attention, has measures to lead, direct, support, and remove difficulties for businesses, especially in terms of human resources. Directly works with Vietnam Electricity Group to promote the completion of power projects to meet the power supply for production. With the motto of taking the best care of businesses operating in the province, Bac Giang prioritizes promoting on-site investment, creating trust for investors.
Faced with the possibility of major impacts due to the US tax policy, the province has directed relevant sectors and agencies to proactively grasp the situation and effectively support businesses to minimize adverse impacts and ensure stability and growth. The province always accompanies businesses, listens, resolves, and handles quickly, flexibly, and effectively all issues within its authority and reports, recommends, and proposes to the Government to promptly take measures to direct, support, and resolve issues; ensuring the achievement of growth targets and contributing to the overall growth of the country.

In the coming time, the province will focus on implementing the work of rearranging provincial and commune-level administrative units according to the direction of the central government.
