The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee on resolving a number of recommendations of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in implementing the inspection conclusion No. 08/KL-TTTP-P3 of the City Inspectorate.
According to this conclusion, the City People's Committee approved the policy that public service units under the Education and Training sector continue to maintain parking services, canteens, swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc. to serve the learning and training needs of teachers and students. However, it is necessary to conduct public and transparent bidding and properly implement financial obligations according to current regulations.

Nowadays, many schools have to rent out swimming pools and parking lots to have more funding.
Previously, through inspection, the City Inspectorate recommended many contents to the City People's Committee. In particular, it recommended directing Marie Curie High School, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and affiliated units to terminate lease contracts, joint contracts for management and use of assets and offices in accordance with regulations on management and use of public assets.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in reality, most schools currently have to cooperate to provide services such as canteens, parking lots, swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc. In conditions where the budget cannot guarantee the maintenance and repair of facilities, if the lease contracts are terminated as recommended by the City Inspectorate, it will seriously affect the operations of the schools, and teaching and learning will be disrupted, causing disruption.
