Industrial Park Trade Union Board: A support for union members and workers

After being established, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has focused on perfecting the organization, closely following the grassroots trade unions, and implementing specific activities aimed at caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers. Thereby, creating a support for union members and workers, contributing to building a harmonious, stable and progressive working environment in enterprises.

Focus on perfecting grassroots trade union organizations

Currently, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board manages 73 grassroots trade unions with more than 22,900 union members in 4 industrial parks and 1 industrial cluster. Recently, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has focused on surveying and understanding the operation situation of grassroots trade unions to remove difficulties and obstacles. In particular, the board focuses on supporting the maintenance of trade union activities at a number of enterprises facing difficulties in orders and labor such as: NT Sun Joint Stock Company; Truong Thinh Company Limited; Ninh Thuan General Trading Joint Stock Company ...; guiding grassroots trade unions to change seals, prepare contents for organizing congresses in accordance with regulations.

Identifying the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions as important tasks, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has increased its survey and grasped the operational situation of qualified enterprises but has not yet established a union organization to conduct mobilization. Thereby, it has issued decisions to establish 2 grassroots unions and admitted 69 union members. At the same time, it has actively mobilized 3 enterprises: Nha Trang Salanganes Nest Company, HTH Co., Ltd., Kim Thien Thuy Co., Ltd. to establish grassroots unions in the coming time. To stabilize the activities of grassroots unions, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has proactively guided and unified the consolidation of executive committees, inspection committees and chairman positions at grassroots unions; promoted propaganda and dissemination of the Party's policies and the State's laws to union members and workers.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Duy - Chairman of the Trade Union of Hoang Thanh Do Luong Production and Investment Joint Stock Company (Du Long Industrial Park, Thuan Bac Commune) said that with the support, guidance and direction of the Industrial Park Trade Union, the unit has quickly completed the organization, promptly implemented activities to care for and protect the rights of more than 400 union members and employees. In particular, the trade union has negotiated and coordinated with the company to support shift meals at the rate of 20,000 VND/meal/person. Every month, the trade union and the company maintain choosing a day to organize "Trade Union Meal" with quality meals for employees. In particular, the trade union has mobilized enterprises to pay 10.5% of the social insurance premium that employees must pay out of the 31.5% of the monthly compulsory social insurance premium; maintain the bonus level of 400,000 VND/employee on national holidays...

Focus on taking care of union members

In order to achieve the goal of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has implemented many practical and meaningful activities. In particular, in coordination with the Trade Union, it has implemented the program "Union Meal" for union members and employees at the Bird's Nest Specialty Processing Factory (Dien Phu Industrial Park), Tin Thinh Company Limited, Vina Nha Trang Mechanical Joint Stock Company, creating a connection between employees and enterprises; mobilizing Khatoco Packaging Printing Joint Stock Company to give 5 bicycles and 3,000 notebooks to students who are children of workers in difficult circumstances. The Board has also actively surveyed and grasped the housing situation of union members and employees in difficult circumstances, thereby supporting 60 million VND for the family of Mr. Mang Van Linh - a worker of Rapexco Dai Nam Company Limited (Suoi Dau Industrial Park) to build a new house of nearly 60 square ^meters . Mr. Linh shared: “I am very happy that my family has received the attention and financial support from the union to build a new, spacious house. The house is the motivation for me to strive in my work, stick with the company to have the conditions to take care of my family life.”

In addition, the Industrial Park Trade Union also coordinated to open training courses on occupational safety and hygiene for more than 120 union officials and occupational safety and hygiene workers in enterprises. Thereby, equipping them with new knowledge, safe working skills, preventing and avoiding occupational accidents and diseases. At the same time, actively grasping the situation of implementing democratic regulations at the grassroots level; mobilizing the signing and implementation of collective labor agreements, contributing to bringing many benefits to union members and employees.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Industrial Park Trade Union Board, in the coming time, the board will continue to improve the quality of the union staff, increase the application of technology in management, operation and support for union members. At the same time, the board will promote social security programs, take care of the material and spiritual life of workers, including Tet care activities for union members and employees; actively propagate and disseminate labor laws in many appropriate forms; mobilize enterprises to improve welfare for employees; promote union member development, establish grassroots trade unions...
