Handover of Muong Thanh Bridge Lighting System

Attending the handover ceremony were Ms. Patricia Mirallès, Secretary of State in charge of Veterans and War Memory of the French Government. On the side of Dien Bien province, there was comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Ms. Patricia Mirallès, Secretary of State in charge of Veterans and War Memory of the French Government , spoke at the handover ceremony.

The Muong Thanh Bridge lighting system is sponsored by the French Development Agency in Vietnam and the city of Lyon, and is directly implemented by lighting experts from the city of Lyon (France) in coordination with functional units in Dien Bien province.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Patricia Mirallès emphasized that the Muong Thanh bridge lighting system is extremely important, demonstrating the spirit of reconciliation, "putting the past behind and looking towards a bright future" for the cooperation and friendly development of the two countries.

Ms. Patricia Mirallès, Secretary of State in charge of Veterans and War Memory of the French Government, handed over the Technical Document of the Muong Thanh Bridge lighting system to Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) of Dien Bien province affirmed: The Muong Thanh Bridge lighting system is a meaningful project, especially when it was handed over on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. The DOCST would like to thank the French Embassy and the French Development Agency in Vietnam for sending experts from Lyon city to support the province in designing and installing the lighting system; this will be an ideal tourist destination contributing to the development of tourism in the province. Through the installation of the lighting system, it will open up opportunities for the two countries to have many activities of cooperation, cooperation, and mutual assistance in the spirit of openness, friendship, respect for history, and looking towards the future.
